81 years after being separated, twins finally reunite

Paul and Claudine met again on October 19, 2024, 81 years and 6 months after they separated.
The twins were born under X on April 16, 1943, in Vernon, France. Paul and Claudine were quickly adopted by different parents. Paul’s adoptive parents learned of Claudine’s existence too late, as she had already been adopted, and were therefore unable to welcome her into their home.
At a very young age, Paul expressed the desire to find his other half. Unfortunately, neither the prefecture, nor the archives that had gone up in smoke, nor the orphanage could help him in his quest for reunion. A small additional complication: his sister, named Brigitte by the nurses, was renamed Claudine by her adoptive parents, specifies Demotivateur.
It was thanks to the determination of his daughter Laura (years later) that Paul would see hope reborn. On September 30, Laura sent a message on Facebook, on a page dedicated to people looking for relatives. A few words that resonated with Annie, a genealogy expert, who immediately contacted Laura, who had a “promising lead”. Result? A few days later, Claudine appeared. She also confided to her niece, Laura, that she too had always dreamed of meeting her brother.
October 19: the magic happened, eyes lit up, Paul and Claudine finally met. The cherry on the cake was that they only lived 70km apart.
