Jack Grealish made a fashion statement on his return to Manchester City first-team training by wearing a Gucci tracksuit.
The 28-year-old suffered a recurrence of a groin problem in his side’s 6-2 win over Luton Town in the FA Cup last month and has been working his way back to fitness ever since. On Thursday, the England international posted an Instagram photo of himself at City’s training ground in his Gucci attire, with the caption, “Back”.
The England star posted a photo of himself wearing the Gucci outfit, before donning City’s training kit while being put through his paces with his team-mates.
Grealish’s future at the Cityzens appears to be more uncertain as he has struggled for regular starts this season – a stark contrast from last term. Part of that has been down to the arrival of winger Jeremy Doku, along with injuries, but a strong end to the season could put him firmly back in Pep Guardiola’s plans. Conversely, Grealish’s place in England’s Euro 2024 squad isn’t certain and a lack of minutes could accelerate an Etihad exit for the former Aston Villa man.
If Grealish is not fit to return for City in their crunch clash with Premier League title rivals Arsenal on Sunday, he could possibly be ready to face his old side Villa on Wednesday, before travelling to Crystal Palace next Saturday.
