“This Is So Sad” Tears Flow as Burna Boy Loses All Four Grammy Awards Nominations
At the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, Nigerian Afro-fusion musician Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy, did not win any of the four categories in which he was nominated.
With high expectations, the Afro-fusion performer, who had previously won a Grammy for Best Global Music Album, entered the 66th Grammy Awards.
However, the conclusion did not go his way, as he departed the star-studded event empty-handed.
Burna Boy received nominations in diverse categories, including Best Global Music Album for his work on “I Told Them… “, the inaugural Best African Music Performance with “City Boys “, Best Global Music Performance for “Alone”, and Best Melodic Rap Performance with “Sittin’ on Top Of The World.”
Despite fan expectations and enthusiastic support, the brilliant vocalist faced tight competition in each of his nominated categories.
The Grammy Awards apparently honoured other exceptional musicians, leaving Burna Boy without any honours.
