American  Anthony Frank Grayson , one of the main suspects in the disappearance of Angie Peña in January 2022 in West Bay, Roatán, Bay Islands, ‘is still on the island’ but little is being done to find him, according to an official related to the case who was interviewed by the media Infobae .

This foreigner is believed to be the owner of a resort on the island and one of the leaders of the human trafficking network ‘Delta Teams’, linked to Peña’s disappearance and accused of committing crimes such as child prostitution and child pornography.

“He is still on the island… There is a lot of negligence in the case. The case is stagnant and they are investigating it with very poor logistics. Everything is known and little is done. Everything is very close and progress is slow,” said a government official, who remained anonymous, to the Argentine media.

Grayson reportedly fled Honduras in April 2022 after being linked to the case; however, he is currently in Roatán, where he is keeping a low profile due to an arrest warrant in his name.

“In December 2022, the MP (Public Prosecutor’s Office) prepared a statement stating that Grayson had not been reported for the young woman’s disappearance, despite the fact that the hotelier’s name did appear, since the investigation began at the beginning of that year, in police and security secretariat records and documents,” Infobae indicates.

Honduran officials linked to the ‘Delta Teams’ network

The article published by Infobae also highlights that there are police and judicial officials linked to ‘Delta Teams’. These people would be protecting those responsible.

“We have investigated agents from the Police Investigations Directorate (DPI) and their bosses who delayed the process and accepted bribes from Delta Teams, judges from the Roatán court, the Judicial Branch, and prosecutors, all of whom trafficked influence in the case,” said the official.

Walter Peña, Angie’s father, agrees. He regretted that his daughter is not with them because “the people in charge are friends or part of these criminals.”

“Many of these incompetent officials are involved in this type of crime. We are aware of the case of officials from the Merchant Navy who are up to their necks in this network of traffickers,” he told tunota.com.

Angie Pena disappeared during a family vacation in the Bay Islands in January 2022, and her whereabouts remain a mystery.
