The Spanish Ana María Lajusticia died at the age of 100 this Thursday, November 7. She was an important personality in the world of medicine and biochemistry , however, not everyone knows many curious facts about her.

Ana María Lajusticia is a Spanish woman who was born in Bilbao in 1924. She was the creator of a business distributing diabetic products based on magnesium in Spain, for which she gained a lot of fame and recognition.

She also contributed to the study and analysis of nutrition, based on chemistry and biochemistry. This was because at the age of 43 , Ana María was diagnosed with type II diabetes , so she began to study medicine.

She came to the conclusion that her diet was very deficient, lacking in protein and vitamin C, she consumed too many carbohydrates and the vegetables she ate were low in magnesium.

Ana Maria Lajusticia’s daughter, Conxita Lajusticia, is said to have committed suicide at the age of 60, due to the pressure she felt from seeing her mother as the “magnesium queen” and also a multimillionaire. She supposedly committed suicide because, in her opinion, she could not meet society’s expectations .
