A group of tourists shared a disturbing experience during their stay in Roatán, Bay Islands, in the Honduran Caribbean, where they claim to have been visited by a mysterious entity that sang every night.
The story, told on the podcast ‘Pronóstico Reservado’ , details how one of the tourists began to experience strange events in the apartment they rented.
“My friend said he couldn’t sleep because he heard a female voice humming a song, and he always saw a shadow in his room. This got worse to the point that he decided to leave the house ,” said one of the witnesses.

As these events increased, the young man returned with blessed objects, such as a rosary and holy water, after which the events temporarily subsided. However, the phenomena continued and affected other occupants of the apartment.
In an attempt to explain what happened, tourists began to relate the events to the island’s mermaid legends.
“Isn’t it curious that on an island like this you can hear chants of a female figure during the night?” one of them commented.

The disturbing experience intensified one night when, as they tried to leave the place, they found a tall man with an axe blocking their way. Although he did not say anything to them, the situation increased the feeling of danger and mystery surrounding the place.
The story sparked a variety of reactions on social media, with some users attributing the events to legends about mermaids and supernatural beings from the deep, while others suggested local rituals or esoteric activities in the area.
