At least 105 people killed in Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon in the past 24 hours

Around one million people have fled their homes in Lebanon in recent days.

At least 105 people have been killed and 359 others wounded in the past 24 hours by Israel ‘s bombing campaign against different points in southern and eastern Lebanon, but also against the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported on Monday.

“The attacks of the Israeli enemy in the past 24 hours on the cities and towns of southern Lebanon , the Bekaa, Baalbek-Hermel (east) and the southern suburb of Beirut caused, in total, the death of 105 people and injuries to 359,” the department said in a brief statement posted on its Facebook page.

Israel continued on Sunday with its intense bombing campaign launched a week ago against Hezbollah ‘s main strongholds in southern and eastern Lebanon, but also in the southern suburbs of Beirut and in other areas further north of the capital that had not been a target of Israeli attacks.

On Saturday, at least 33 people were killed in different bombings, while in just over a week more than a thousand people have died and another 6,000 have been injured by these bombings, according to the Lebanese Government .

Around a million people have left their homes in recent days in Lebanon due to the campaign of attacks, announced this Sunday the Lebanese Prime Minister, Najib Mikati , who recalled that his Government has been asking for a truce in Gaza and Lebanon for “seven or eight months”. EFE
