French police arrested a 17-year-old high school student in Rezé, in the French department of Loire-Atlantique, a few weeks ago for making death threats against one of his teachers and for speaking out in favor of terrorism.
The young man had made the death threats via the Telegram messaging service and declared himself a supporter of the Islamic State terrorist movement. He threatened his teacher with death on Telegram: “I will stab my teacher to death.”
He had also expressed his support for Daesh. An intelligence service discovered the messages and informed the French prosecutor’s office.
The minor seemed to be preparing for a terrorist attack anyway. During a search of his room, police found an Islamic State flag, an airsoft rifle and two knives.
