Barcelona sign Wojciech Szczesny! Former Arsenal and Juventus goalkeeper comes out of retirement to sign for Catalans after Marc-Andre ter Stegen injury

The Blaugrana dealt with a major injury blow last month during their La Liga fixture against Villarreal. While they comfortably thrashed the Yellow Submarines 5-1, captain and goalkeeper Ter Stegen was stretchered off the pitch in tears. Medical reports later confirmed that the Germany international had a complete rupture in the patella tendon in his right knee.

  The official statement from Barcelona read, “FC Barcelona and Wojciech Szczęsny have reached an agreement for the goalkeeper to join the Club until 30 June.”
