Beyoncé Memes: Where Do Thank You and For Our Protection Come From?

Beyoncé , the most awarded artist in the history of the Grammys, has been a sensation on social media for a meme that Internet users have decided to call ” thanks to Beyoncé “, used for graduations and when purchasing an item.

Although these posts are made with humor , their roots are intertwined with real events, music awards and dark backgrounds involving figures close to the singer.

The meme originated on TikTok, as well-known artists often thank Beyoncé in their acceptance speeches, especially when they beat her in the same category.

An example is Adele’s award at the 2017 Grammys. Upon winning the award for Album of the Year, the singer took a few seconds to express her admiration for the ‘Halo’ singer, and mentioned: ” Beyoncé is the artist of my life .”

A few hours later, the Grammy was broken and for users it was not accidental, since Adele would have broken the award to be able to share it with the actress.

This theory suggests that artists mention Beyoncé out of fear of social or even mystical retaliation. At the 2023 Grammys, Lizzo also thanked the American, as did other figures close to her.

This is not the first time that Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter and her husband Jay-Z have been involved in conspiracy cases. Ever since Diddy was arrested on September 16, theories have emerged on social media that the couple was aware of the rapper’s actions.

In an interview on Piers Morgan’s Uncensored show, singer-songwriter Jaguar Wright compared Beyoncé and Jay-Z to Combs, claiming the pair had ” hundreds of victims .”

The response was not long in coming, as the couple’s legal team sent a ‘cease and desist’ letter to Piers Morgan and the hosts of his show, demanding the removal of Wright’s allegations.

In response, the British journalist issued a public apology and said Wright’s remarks were unexpected and lacked conclusive evidence.

” His lawyers have contacted us to say that these claims were completely false and had no factual basis, so we have complied with the legal request to remove them from the original interview ,” Morgan said.

Why has Beyoncé not made any statements?

Despite the quick response, the couple has stayed away from Diddy ‘s case , with Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s attorney Alex Spiro telling TMZ : ” The fact that the Carters have decided to intervene in this case shows that when they decide to stand up for something, they are sending a clear message .”

He added: ” If they don’t stand up and say what is true and what is false, then who can ?”
