The young woman’s body was found with gunshot wounds in a church. Here’s what we know.
This Tuesday, the discovery of a dead young woman was reported in a lot inside the Torre Fuerte Church, Cerrito Lindo, located on the border between the Rivera Hernández neighborhood of San Pedro Sula.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, is a young woman between 20 and 22 years old, dressed in a blue shirt, shorts and white tennis shoes.
The body was found face down inside the church yard, and initial observations revealed that it had several bullet wounds, as gunshot casings were found at the scene.
Unidentified
Although several people from the area have approached the scene of the crime, none have been able to identify the victim, which suggests that the young woman was not a resident of the area . So far, no relative has arrived who could recognize her.
The area has been cordoned off by the police, awaiting the arrival of the forensic authorities to proceed with the removal of the body and continue the investigation.
Crime scene
The scenario suggests that the young woman was murdered in the same place where she was found, due to the presence of shell casings inside the church grounds. This crime shocked residents of Rivera Hernández and Cerrito Lindo, areas known for their high rate of violence.
