Born near Cinecitta, in the cinema district of Rome in 1963, the star quickly discovered a passion for music and song.

  After being rejected by the Conservatory, he had to wait until the early 80s to be spotted, during a singing competition. Although he did not win first place (won by Zucchero), he did however land a contract with a record company.

  A few years later, huge success for his duet with Renato Brioschi: “Una storia importante”. In France alone, 500,000 copies were sold! The charm of the handsome Italian and his talent for singing about love seduced and his second album “In Certi Momenti” did even better with more than three million records sold worldwide. The albums followed one after the other and the success did not wane, allowing him to sign a contract with BMG International in 1994.

  He became the first Italian to perform at Radio City Music Hall in NYC and continued to charm his fans, especially with his album “Dove c’é musica” which included “Piu’Bella Cosa”. The releases followed one after the other, at a rate of one every two years, and the Latin lover’s audience was now international. His ninth album, “9” broke all records, including the hit “Un’emozione per sempre”, which tells the story of a romantic breakup while, in real life, the singer and his wife Michelle Hunziker separated.

   This big football fan (especially of Juventus) also collaborates with many stars, such as Tina Turner, Cher or Anastacia with whom he sings “I belong to you”, a single that once again slips to the top of the European charts. Album releases and tours continue, each time with resounding success. Nothing seems to resist the now millionaire singer, who is churning out best-of albums, new releases and even an autobiography to celebrate his thirty-year career.
