The young Brazilian midfielder is yet to make an appearance for the Blues since officially signing for the club in January 2023. He was initially sent back to his former club Vasco da Gama on loan for the remainder of the 2022-23 season and then sent out on a short-term loan deal to Nottingham Forest in August 2023. His stay at Forest was shortlived as he was brought back to Stamford Bridge in January this year, however, he once again left the club on a third loan spell to Strasbourg which was further extended ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca is keeping an eye on the youngster’s progress in France and has recently hinted that the player could become a part of his plans in the future.

        WHAT ENZO MARESCA SAID

Speaking to reporters at a pre-match press conference, the Italian coach said, “Andrey Santos shows what we have said already many times, probably for some players, it is better they go and prove themselves and then they can come back.
