With a resounding success, this is how the last delivery of PlantatónHN trees from Televicentro ended during 2024, reaffirming its commitment to the environment of Honduras.
In two days, this first weekend of November, the ‘Green Troop’ delivered more than 4,500 trees in San Pedro Sula , Cortés, and Tegucigalpa , Francisco Morazán.
The first delivery was this Saturday in Plaza Santa Monica Oeste of the ‘industrial capital’, where 1,500 plants were distributed in conjunction with the municipality of San Pedro Sula, the 105th Infantry Brigade and the Sir Lancetot Clan of the 48 Impeesa scout group.
Likewise, this Sunday the PlantatónHN ‘Green Troop’ set up in front of the Televicentro building in the Honduran capital to give away trees and plants to citizens.
On this occasion, together with the Municipal Mayor’s Office of the Central District, 3,000 trees were distributed with the goal of contributing to the environment and leaving a positive impact on their surroundings.
“We thank all of this year’s partners, the Forest Conservation Institute (ICF), the Armed Forces (FF.AA.), the Municipal Government of the Central District (AMDC), the Mayor’s Office of San Pedro Sula, among others,” said Paola Rietti , director of corporate social responsibility for TVC and EU.
He also invited Hondurans to join in 2025, on the 10th anniversary of PlantatónHN, to continue fighting for a “greener Honduras.”
For his part, the supervisor of the Environmental Police, Rudy Martínez , stressed that from May to November there has been a “wonderful change in the capital” thanks to the work carried out.
“The goal is to continue making Honduras greener; AMDC is working to prepare us for next year, to have nice little trees for next year and to continue planting,” he said.
