The Insider has obtained access to hundreds of official documents relating to the death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny in the Polar Wolf penal colony in Russia’s Far North on February 16, 2024.
Navalny’s death was officially attributed to natural causes, and Russia’s Investigative Committee said in July that the case “was not criminal.” However, the contents of the documents in The Insider’s possession demonstrate that Russian authorities systematically deleted references to the symptoms Navalny was suffering from, symptoms that did not match the Russian state’s official cause of death.
As medical experts confirm, these symptoms clearly indicate that Navalny was poisoned.
The documents confirm Yulia Navalnaya’s statement that “in the last minutes before his death, [Alexei] complained of a sharp pain in his stomach.” However, the official conclusion reached by Russian authorities is that Mr. Navalny died of natural causes and that the incident “is not criminal in nature.”
A version totally denied by the documents unearthed by The Insider.
