An Arkansas couple allegedly sold their two-month-old baby for a six-pack of beer and $1,000 in cash.
It happened at a campsite near Beaver Lake in Arkansas. The mother explained that because of her pets, she had difficulty caring for the baby.
“It doesn’t work with three dogs and a baby,” the Kansas City Star reported. By his own admission, the buyer agreed to the high-profile deal because he was “concerned for the welfare” of the child. He paid $1,000 and also gave the parents a six-pack of beer in exchange for the baby.
The owner of the campsite heard about the incident and called the police. The parents were arrested and charged with endangering a minor.
