Does NFL Fans Hate Kim Kardashian Because of Her Feud With Taylor Swift?
Taylor Swift fans are no strangers to the epic feud between her and Kim Kardashian. The tension between the two stars began over a decade ago. And it continues into 2024 with Swift’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department . Recently, Kardashian attended the “Roast of Tom Brady” (a comedy festival) to crack a few jokes and the crowd booed her. It’s possible that the crowd was Swift’s fans.
The “Roast of Tom Brady” allowed celebrities to poke fun at former NFL quarterback Tom Brady at his expense. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian was welcomed on stage by Kevin Hart to deliver a special toast. However, before the entertainment star even took the microphone, the crowd greeted her with intense boos.
After a few minutes, however, the audience finally calmed down.
But why did the crowd turn on Kardashian before she even started speaking? Some fans believe that the NFL crowd grew to like Taylor Swift because of her relationship with Travis Kelce. If the crowd was made up of NFL fans who also like Brady, many might dislike Kardashian because of the Kardashian-Swift feud. “Some say NFL fans are now Swifties,” one fan wrote on Reddit .
Football fans are now taking Taylor’s side in the decade-long dispute.
A little flashback
Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian’s feud dates back to 2009. That year, Kim Kardashian’s then-husband Kanye West grabbed Swift’s microphone at the MTV Video Music Awards to say that Beyoncé should have won video of the year. In 2016, West later released these lyrics on the song “Famous”: “I feel like me and Taylor could still have sex, why? I made that b***h famous.”
West and Kardashian claimed that Swift agreed to the mention in “Famous.” Kardashian also released an edited version of Swift’s phone call with West that made it seem like Swift agreed to the phrase being in the song. However, the truth later came out.
