Toronto, ON – Drake has received a response from DeMar DeRozan after taunting the NBA star during a game between the Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings.

DeRozan, who played for many years in Toronto and currently suits up for the Kings, made his first appearance in Canada this past weekend since he appeared in Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” video and graced the stage at the Compton rapper’s Pop Out concert.

During the game, Drake could be seen staring down DeRozan from his courtside seat and made a number of derogatory comments about the 6-foot-6 basketball player, who himself hails from Compton.

“If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself,” he said during an interview with Canadian sports network TSN.

He added: “Unfortunately, we’re playing this goof tonight, but it is what it is.”

After DeRozan missed a game-tying three point shot, Drake could be heard mouthing: “Fuck outta here, pussy” as he celebrated the Raptors securing a 131-128 win.

Asked after the game about the 6 God’s pledge to tear down his hypothetical banner, DeRozan said: “He’s gonna have a long way to climb, I’ll tell you that.”

He later posted a clip from the movie Friday on his Instagram Stories of Chris Tucker’s character comically saying he only gets tough when neighborhood menace Deebo’s back is turned.

DeMar DeRozan explained his allegiance to Kendrick Lamar in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, though he admitted that he has love for both K. Dot and Drake.

“At the end of the day, I’m from Compton. My city, where I’m from, where I was born, where my family still lives, that comes first before anything,” he said.

“I feel like any real person would understand that. It’s so crazy because my second home became Toronto, that has one of the greatest [rappers] of all time coming from there too.”

DeRozan also confirmed that he had not spoken to Drake since his feud with Kendrick kicked off this spring.

As well as appearing in the “Not Like Us” video, DeRozan was namedropped by Lamar on the chart-topping diss track.

“I’m glad DeRoz came home, y’all didn’t deserve him neither,” K. Dot rapped, referencing the NBA All-Star’s 2018 departure from the Raptors, of which Drake is an ambassador.
