Eminem‘s daughter Hailie Jade has announced the sex of the baby she is expecting.
Speaking on her Just a Little Shady podcast, Hailie did a live gender reveal with her husband Evan McClintock where the couple popped a balloon.
Hailie popped the balloon and out came blue confetti, meaning the baby will be a boy. She has not yet revealed a due date.
Eminem learned he was going to be a grandfather in a surprise reveal in his music video for “Temporary,” which featured various daddy-daughter moments from over the years.
In the clip, the pair are sitting outside when Hailie hands Em a custom jersey from his beloved Detroit Lions adorned with “Grandpa #1” on the back. She then shares her sonogram, much to her dad’s pure shock and joy.
50 Cent was among those to congratulate Hailie on the big news.
He wrote on Instagram: “Man [palm on face emoji] the baby, is not a baby anymore. @hailiejade congratulations baby. [three hand clap emojis, sly face emoji] @eminem man [eyes looking emoji] we fvcking getting old smh LOL.”
50 also recently admitted to Haute Living that he was incredibly moved when attending Hailie’s wedding earlier this year.
“I wish I had a daughter. I do. I wish I had a daughter,” he said. “I wish I had that [father-daughter] relationship. For female children, their dad is the first man they fall in love with. Male children go to their mom; I’m a mama’s boy myself.”
50, who has two sons, then recalled his emotional reaction to watching Em’s daughter get married: “It was unbelievable, the wildest thing for me, period. I was like, ‘Yo, bro, this is crazy. We’re getting old. Your baby is grown. What the fuck is going on?’”
He admitted: “I was having a moment myself over there. I told Em, ‘You said it was OK to cry, because I’m crying.’ I couldn’t believe it went that fast.”
The star-studded bash occurred earlier this year and photos from the big day showed Eminem dancing with his daughter while Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine were also in attendance.
