WHAT HAPPENED?
Manchester United have had a very slow start to the season as they have only won three of their opening 10 matches. As such, Ten Hag has been a constant point of criticism and after the Red Devils’ 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, it had been reported that the Dutchman had been given two games to improve performances and results. However, the former Ajax boss’ side failed to get a positive result in the first of those two games as United drew 3-3 against Porto in the Europa League.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The Sun has now reported that INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are remaining stern on the deadline they had set for Ten Hag and the Dutchman’s future is now set to hinge on United’s ability to get a result in their last game before the October international break, when they will face off against Unai Emery’s high flying Villa.

DID YOU KNOW?
The Red Devils gave up three goals for the third time since the current campaign began. According to The Sun, since Ten Hag took over at Old Trafford in the summer of 2022, no Premier League team has conceded three or more goals as frequently in all competitions as United have.
