EU President, Indian Prime Minister Congratulate Trump, Call For Stronger Partnership

Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, has extended her congratulations to Donald Trump following his victory.
In her congratulatory message, she emphasised the importance of strengthening the “transatlantic partnership” between the European Union and the United States.
Von der Leyen expressed the close ties between the EU and the US, stating that the two are “more than just allies” and share a deep connection based on their shared history, commitment to freedom, democracy, and common goals of security and opportunity for all.
The Guardian reports that she emphasised the importance of collaboration, stating, “Let us work together on a transatlantic partnership that continues to benefit our citizens. Millions of jobs and billions in trade and investment on both sides of the Atlantic rely on the vitality and stability of our economic relationship.”
Also, Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra, Modi has joined other world leaders to congratulate him in what he described as “historic election victory”.
Although, the former president has not been officially declared winner of the most contentious election in history of the United States of America, some world leaders and business moguls have offered their congregations to Trump.
Earlier, Trump held a victory speech where he called the election a “massive victory for democracy and for freedom.”
Modi in statement shared on his X handle, invite Trump to work with his country for the betterment of “our people and to promote global peace, stability and prosperity’’.
He wrote: “Heartiest congratulations my friend @realDonaldTrump on your historic election victory. As you build on the successes of your previous term, I look forward to renewing our collaboration to further strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership.
“Together, let’s work for the betterment of our people and to promote global peace, stability and prosperity.”
