American actor Steven Seagal claims in a documentary that he told Vladimir Putin that he is ready to fight and die for him.
A former Hollywood action movie great from the 90s, Steven Seagal obtained Russian citizenship in 2016, and has since regularly expressed his admiration for the Russian president. In a documentary he directed himself, the actor reveals that he wrote a letter to Vladimir Putin at the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. “In the letter, I tell him that we will now see who are our true compatriots and friends, and who are our enemies. I will stand by my president and I will fight by my president’s side,” he says.
Steven Seagal also shares his belief in Russia’s upcoming victory. “I believe God is on our side. That’s why we will win. Sure, we have the best soldiers, weapons and military leaders, but at the end of the day, our main strength is that we are on the right side.”
