An 11-year-old girl has revealed to police authorities in Washington, United States , how she survived the shooting of her family by her 15-year-old brother.
According to Noticias Univisión , the girl told police that she pretended to be dead after her brother shot her in the hand and neck, after discovering that her parents and three other siblings had been murdered.
The crime occurred in the early hours of Monday, October 21, while the family was resting.
The little survivor told police she heard gunshots inside the house, so she went out to find out what was happening, finding her father and a nine-year-old brother dead.
He then watched his seven-year-old sister die when the boy shot her as she left her room. His mother and another 13-year-old brother were also killed by his close relative.
After committing the heinous crime, the young man attempted suicide. The weapon used in the act belonged to his father.
The perpetrator was arrested and faces five counts of aggravated murder in juvenile court. His case will be transferred to adult court.
The victims were identified as Sarah Humiston, 42, Mark Humiston, 43, and their children Katheryn Humiston, 7, Joshua Humiston, 9, and Benjamin Humiston, 13.
