Amid tears, Mrs. Elizabeth lamented that Demetri Gordon , who was her nephew but whom she raised as one of her sons, died this morning in a traffic accident.

Exclusively to TSi’s Noticieros Hoy Mismo, she assured that she has spent half of her life with the Olimpia player , since she was with him since he moved from Islas de la Bahía to La Ceiba, Atlántida.

“My child is gone (…) my life is not the same anymore , I have children and grandchildren to live for, but a part of me is gone that will not return; God will help me but right now I do not have the strength to live,” she said crying.

Despite her pain, the Honduran woman said she was grateful to God for having lent her her “child” for 21 years , during which time he gave her many joys.

“I enjoyed it to the fullest, 100%, I was there for every achievement, I was there for every pain, and this is the last pain with Demetri, the one that hurts the most and will last the longest,” he lamented.

Finally, the grieving aunt recalled that in 2023, during her debut with Olimpia, she dedicated her first goal to him, in the match against Vida.

The body of Demetri Gordon will be laid to rest in La Ceiba, Atlántida, and then transferred to his native Santos Guardiola in the Bay Islands, it was reported.
