It was Le Parisien who dispersed the information: the famous French host, presenter of Touche pas à mon poste, had allegedly fallen out with Canal+; a rumor that he formally denies today.

While Le Parisien announced that Cyril Hanouna and Canal+ were going to cut ties and that a source “close to the case” affirmed that “it (the relationship) was dead, and that the divorce was inevitable”, the host wanted to clarify this live on October 21. At the end of his show (TPMP), he assured: “we will stop on December 20 for the holidays and we will be back on track on January 6 until the end of February. There’s no debate on that, that’s for sure.”

In February 2025, the C8 channel will be deprived of a frequency. Following the decision by Arcom, the Canal+ group has decided to file an appeal and hopes to recover its slot on TNT, reports Le HuffPost. They should receive a response in November.

“If the appeal is accepted and if C8’s selection is returned and if we are reselected, TPMP will continue as usual on C8… in any case we will continue,” specifies Cyril Hanouna. Before adding: “if the Council of State rejects our appeal and C8 disappears, there will be other solutions, we’re working on other solutions.”

And what about those famous “divorce” rumors? The host is formal: “know that things are going very well with the Canal+ group. With Vincent Bolloré, we have known each other for 20 years, he has followed me. He has always been there for me. (…) There’s no problem between the Canal+ group and myself.”
