“I hope he’s OK,” Kamala Harris repeated on Tuesday, calling into question Donald Trump’s mental health after her rival cut short an election event the day before to listen to her favorite songs on stage.

He seemed “lost and confused ,” said a spokesman for the Democrat’s campaign, who released a video of what happened.

Trump, 78, responded with a late-night message on his social network, in which he claimed to have obtained “exceptional” results in two different cognitive tests.

“I’m in much better health than Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden and, above all, Kamala ,” said the tycoon, who would become the oldest president to be sworn into office if he wins the November 5 election.

The bizarre scene took place during a public question-and-answer session with supporters organized by the candidate in the town of Oaks, Pennsylvania, a key northeastern state for the elections.

The event took place in a room that was apparently poorly air-conditioned . It had to be interrupted twice when some spectators suffered from illnesses that required medical attention.

Then, even though the campaign rally had only started half an hour earlier, the septuagenarian joked: ” Is anyone else going to faint ?”

And he suggested: “Let’s not ask any more questions, let’s listen to music, let’s make it music. Who the hell cares about hearing questions, right?”

The Republican asked for his favorite music to be played, starting with ” Ave Maria” sung by Luciano Pavarotti.

Donald Trump likes to listen to his favorite playlists when he travels on his private jet or is at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.

But what was surprising on Monday was that he ended the question-and-answer session.

The election evening thus took an unusual turn for more than thirty minutes, with the former president swaying on his feet, microphone in hand.

The audience was treated to Andrea Bocelli’s “Con te partirò”; Rufus Wainwright’s “Hallelujah”; Sinéad O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U”; Elvis Presley’s “An American Trilogy”; Oliver Anthony’s “Rich men north of Richmond”; Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain”; and, of course, the hit from Trump’s rallies, “YMCA” by the Village People.

The tycoon, who rules out running again in 2028 if he loses , described the evening as “incredible” on social media.

“The Q&A session was almost over when people started passing out from the excitement and heat. We started playing music while we waited and didn’t stop. It was very different, but it ended up being a GREAT NIGHT!” she described.

In recent days, Harris, 59, has repeatedly accused her opponent in the race for the White House of being mentally “unstable.”

“This man is weak and incapable” of being president, he reiterated in an interview on Tuesday.

President Joe Biden joined the attack. “It’s a fact: he’s a loser,” he said in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s largest city.

‘Terrible’ tariffs

On Tuesday, the Republican, who has been holding his electoral events non-stop, attended the Economic Club of Chicago for an interview in which he kept the thread going, although he went off on a tangent several times to steer the conversation back to his electoral speech, something he usually does.

In it, he again painted a bleak economic picture if the Democrats win and said that Mexico “will not sell a single car in the United States” if he wins the elections, because he plans to impose “terrible” tariffs to “bring back” companies to the country.

Donald Trump, who is neck and neck with Harris in the polls, is threatening to impose tariffs of 100%, 200% or even more, convinced that this will result in the construction of “thousands” of companies in the United States.

Many economists, on the other hand, believe that his economic plans will lead to increased debt and inflation.
