Honduran man attacked by Libre activist sends message from hospital

From a hospital bed and with great difficulty speaking, this is how the Honduran attacked this Saturday by a militant of the Liberty and Refoundation ( Libre ) party sent a message to the authorities.
“I ask the Ministry of Health to take care of my health, right now I am at risk of death, I don’t know what can happen to me,” said Ángel Antonio Cisnado .
The Honduran, who is a follower of the National Party , received a stab wound in the neck outside the cemetery of the municipality of Langue, Valle, according to the complaint made by the deputy , Tomás Zambrano.
He also asked the security authorities to ” apply the full law to whoever did this to me, there are many witnesses,” while he was connected to a respirator.
Following the violent incident, the aggressor was arrested by the Honduran National Police authorities, said Secretary of Security Gustavo Sánchez.
The secretary also revealed that after the investigations, ” we have firmly ruled out that this was an act of political violence . We also regret that this incident is being used for petty political purposes by actors accustomed to lying.”
The health status of Ángel Antonio Cisnado is currently unknown . Cisnado remains in the facilities of the Hospital Escuela in Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras.
