How many years of independence has Honduras celebrated?
In 2024, Honduras celebrates 203 years of political emancipation, commemorating the struggle of brave and bold leaders who fought to obtain the independence of Honduras in 1821.
Through long battles by recognized figures such as General Francisco Morazán , today Honduras is a country free of slavery and is a free, sovereign and independent country.
This is why all Hondurans join in this great celebration through spectacular parades, led by bands, stickmen, cadets, flag bearers and, in addition, by the entire public who gladly celebrate their participation.
This year, some 73 schools will parade in the capital to pay tribute to the country through spectacular parades of educational institutions such as: El Central Vicente Cáceres , Renacer, Instituto Saúl Zelaya Jiménez, Superación San Francisco, among others.
In addition to educational institutions, the prominent participation of various civic and military organizations is expected, who will join the celebration with marches and exhibitions that highlight patriotism and the rich Honduran culture.
One of the most anticipated events is when the different law enforcement forces make their presentation, and then the paratroopers of the Honduran Air Force (FAH) take to the air to honor the National Flag.
