The testimony of a North Korean soldier on the Russian front line has been published on social media networks. In it, we feel the distress of these men dropped into the violence of an unfamiliar war between Russia and Ukraine.
The North Korean soldier said: “A Russian soldier’s head was blown off by shrapnel… I was able to survive by hiding under the corpses of my comrades.”
He added: “I heard stories about the Fatherland Liberation War from my grandfather, but I knew nothing about it. In reality, we… our comrades were used as mere historical elements and we were all sacrificed.”
His conclusion is without appeal:
“Putin will lose this war, the Ukrainian soldiers are arriving with the most modern weapons and have a strong will… On the other hand, the Russian army has lost too many men and is sending soldiers like us to attack.”
“Kursk is truly the evil of this world,” he said horrified.
“I saw with my own eyes the mountains of corpses of Russian soldiers and the destroyed defensive positions,” he stressed.
