Defense Minister Rixi Moncada said that when she received the files of those who will be promoted to generals, she did not hesitate for a moment to approve them.
Defense Secretary Rixi Moncada met this Friday with the nine generals of the Honduran Armed Forces ( FF. AA. ) who will be promoted to brigadier generals in the coming days, following the approval of their promotions in the National Congress (CN).
Regarding the process of promoting colonels, Moncada said that the task of building constitutionality to promote the rule of law and the country is reaffirmed.
He also told them that ” I see in you the Morazan soldier . The Morazan soldier goes beyond any political interest, the Morazan soldier must honor his regulations, his uniform and his commitment since that time.”
Likewise, Rixi Moncada told them that when he received the nine files of those who will be promoted to generals, he did not hesitate for a moment to sign and send them to the President of the Republic, due to a training principle that has to do with respect for the constitutional norm.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Defense, Orlando Garner , the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Roosevelt Avilés , and members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The promoted generals
The CN plenary approved this Thursday the promotion of nine colonels to the rank of brigadier general of the Armed Forces.
The promoted generals are:
- Melvin Orlando Carbajal Ortiz – DEM Engineering Colonel (Liaison, US Military Group)
- Rafael Yovanny Orellana Murillo – Engineering Colonel DEM (C-3)
- Oscar Orlando Castillo Cáceres – Engineering Colonel DEM (C-1)
- Max Alonso Hernández Marcía – Colonel of Infantry DEM (AJMFFAA)
- Armando Martínez Rueda – Colonel of Aviation DEMA (SGEMC)
- Oscar Manuel Najera Carcamo – Colonel of Infantry DEM (C-8)
- Jose Miguel Mejia Medina – Colonel of the Democratic Infantry (Imffaa)
- Walter Irán Amador Lacayo – Colonel of Infantry DEM (UDH)
- Nahum Canales Cruz – Colonel of Infantry DEM (CALFFAA)
