Donald Trump has said that the election of Kamala Harris in November would be a “disaster”.
At a private event in Aspen, Colorado, last August, the Republican presidential candidate used the platform to slam his Democratic opponent.
In a 12-minute recording obtained by the British newspaper The Guardian, the billionaire also discusses the subject of immigration and the laxity of the Democratic camp regarding the reinforcement of borders.
“I’m telling you we have a radical leftist who’s going to be president – if she wins, it’s going to be a disaster – she really wants to be president. Thank God, she’s supposed to be a terrible debater, although she’s mean, and she’s supposed to be terrible at interviews. She doesn’t know how to do an interview,” he told audience members a month before his televised debate with his opponent.
The former president, who is seeking a second term, also argued that Kamala Harris wants to defund law enforcement.
“Her policy is to defund the police. She wants to defund the police. She wants open borders. With a politician – and I’ve seen it because I’ve been on both sides of politics for a long time; now, a little bit on this side, but I’ve always been a contributor – she wants to get out and she wants to defund the police. And they always go back to their original plan. That’s what they always do,” he said.
