The American election campaign is in full swing, and Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, is holding numerous meetings to win the vote on November 5.
US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris said in an interview that if elected, she would not meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for a bilateral meeting to discuss peace, saying Ukraine needs to be represented.
“Ukraine needs to have a say in the future of Ukraine,” Harris told CBS’s “60 Minutes” when asked about the possibility of meeting with the Russian leader to negotiate an end to the war.
A month before the presidential election, Ms Harris sought to clearly distance herself from her rival Donald Trump on a crucial issue of US foreign policy.
“If Donald Trump were president, Putin would be sitting in kyiv right now, let’s be clear,” she insisted.
