However, depression led her to live on the streets, as did the death of her daughter, who died due to an illness at just seven years old. “I lost my daughter, it’s quite traumatic” are Karina’s words when talking about the subject.

After this shocking event, she was forced to go into a violent marriage that deeply damaged her emotional stability, causing her to make decisions that took her in a very different direction from her career.

“I had a husband who gave me a lot of pain, and now I am here, on these streets, surrounded by more pain , “ she said with a mixture of resignation.
