On Thursday afternoon, Monsalve announced his resignation, saying: ” As you know, a complaint was filed against me this week, the details of which I do not know .” He added: ” I want to reaffirm that I have not committed any conduct constituting a crime, and therefore, within the framework of the investigation, I will prove my innocence .”

This person claims that a woman named Camila Belén Lobos Paredes was the lover of the former Chilean deputy and that thanks to this he had obtained public positions and even shared a screenshot of a profile on LinkedIn.
What is certain is that this is not the first rumor to emerge about this case, as La Cuarta media reports that the doctor may have tried to meet with the family of the alleged victim.
What did the alleged victim’s lawyer say?
It is known that the former Undersecretary of the Interior traveled to Concepción to talk with his family about the complaint against him, but also to meet with the family of the alleged victim.
This is because his father is a socialist leader and would have collaborated in Monsalve’s campaign when he was a deputy. In this regard, Rodrigo Pérez from Tu Día consulted the lawyer about the alleged incident.
The lawyer hinted that it was the woman’s father who was involved in the altercation. However, the lawyer said he had no specific information on whether Monsalve traveled to Concepción or not to meet with the family.

The mother of the alleged victim spoke to Meganoticias and said that her daughter is receiving psychological help, but confirmed that her family is going through a very difficult time.
” This is very delicate. This is serious. She had never been through anything like this, there was a reason she was working where she was working. She was moving up in her career, I was happy, but life cut us short ,” he said.
She also mentioned: “I am devastated, for me, my life ended that day. These are details that hurt me a lot. I am an older woman (…), I educated an engineer with so much sacrifice to have gone through this. So we have to let the investigation continue .”
