“Quadrobics”. This discipline is making a spectacular entrance into Russia. It could very quickly be banned in the country.
Ultra-conservatives say they are outraged, the government speaks of a “deviant and satanic” ideology… Quadrobic, a fitness trend that involves doing sports by imitating animals, has come to sow chaos in Russia.
For the record, it was the world record holder for the 100 meters on all fours, the Japanese Kenichi Ito, who made this rather unusual activity popular. Social networks have seized on it and, now, athletes (beginners or experienced) equipped with cat or dog masks, on all fours, are flooding the screens.
In Russia, Orthodox philosopher Sergei Mikheev claims that “quadrobics” is a discipline “directly linked to the spread of various perversions in modern Western society .” He also equates this sporting activity with BDSM sexual practices: “This is sad.omas.ochist crap. It’s about trying to involve children in this kind of thing from a very young age ,” he said.
In the country, it is almost a state affair, giving way to all kinds of homophobic insults, the depths of human mediocrity. Thus, propagandist Nikita Mikhalkov says on Russia 24 : “Did you know that among quadrobers, there are ten times more people who identify as LGBT?” And he adds: “quadrobers and the LGBT community, in this rejection of the naturalness of human life, are absolutely identical.”
