James van der Beek is a famous American actor who was recently diagnosed with colorectal cancer , news that was revealed this weekend. He himself said that he has been dealing with the disease alongside his wife and children.
However, the 47-year-old Dawson’s Creek star mentioned that he has the support of his family to be able to face this disease and that he has taken measures to solve it.
He also said that he feels well and there are reasons to be optimistic about being cured of this cancer. The actor is married and currently has 4 daughters and 2 sons, 6 children in total .

“Just learning to prioritize. I think we’ve all come to this realization that we were all so busy before with things that didn’t really serve us and didn’t necessarily make us happy,” she said in an interview with a local outlet.
“I made all my own costumes as a kid. I didn’t really have a choice. But I loved it ,” James van der Beek wrote via Instagram on Friday, November 1.
“It probably should have been the first warning sign to my parents that I would end up being an actor,” he said of designing his Halloween costumes.

The disease that the American actor suffers from is called colorectal cancer, a disease that occurs when cells in the colon or rectum multiply uncontrollably. The symptoms are usually:

- Pain in the abdomen.
- Blood in the stool.
Colorectal cancer is usually treatable and curable when it is located in the intestine. The primary treatment is surgery, which cures about 50 out of 100 people.
