WWE icon John Cena has announced his retirement from in-ring competition, set for 2025.
During WWE Money in the Bank in Toronto, the 16-time world champion revealed that the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas will mark his final appearances.
Wearing a ‘John Cena Farewell Tour 2025’ shirt, Cena reflected on his two-decade career in WWE.
He spoke about the highs and lows, noting, “WWE is the hottest ticket in town right now, but I’ve also experienced times when no one knows your name, and only the most dedicated fans stand by you.”
Cena also mentioned his desire to be involved when Raw moves to Netflix in January. Having made his WWE debut in 2002, Cena has taken on a part-time role since 2018 to focus on his film career.
