The complaint was filed by the extremist organization Hazte Oír and accuses Gómez of misappropriation and professional intrusion . Initially, this complaint was assigned to another court, but it finally fell to Peinado’s court.

Judge Juan Carlos Peinado and his Wikipedia

Judge Juan Carlos Peinado , who at 69 years of age received authorization from the General Council of the Judiciary to remain active until the age of 72, has a long judicial career.

He is currently the judge of Madrid’s number 41 court, a position he assumed in place of Judge Cristina Díaz . His career includes positions in the courts of Arenas de San Pedro , Talavera de la Reina , Getafe and Madrid .

Previous cases

In addition to this case, Peinado has been known for his handling of the indictment of 12 journalists in the CDR case , a case that was eventually dropped, and of a complaint filed by Manos Limpias against councillors of the Madrid City Council. This reflects his experience in cases of great public and political visibility.

Following this case, many people are looking for the profile of Judge Juan Carlos Peinado , who does not have a Wikipedia , to find a compilation of his career and judicial decisions, especially on issues of media relevance. Given his relevance in controversial cases, his figure arouses great interest among the public.

The complaint relates to software developed by the Complutense University and allegedly used by Gómez for his own business purposes, although the university offered it “on a non-profit basis.”

Judge Juan Carlos Peinado has summoned Begoña Gómez for November 18. However, no statement will be taken at this first appearance; the objective is to notify Gómez of the complaint and proceed with a future summons. This notification will be carried out by the judicial police in Moncloa, as ordered by the magistrate.

Charges of misappropriation against Begoña Gómez

The accusation of misappropriation is based on the registration of the trademark TSC Transformación Social Competitiva by Gómez, for which he used a company in his name. According to the complaint, the software associated with this trademark was financed by the Complutense University and private companies.

Despite the accusations, the Complutense University was aware of the registration of an Internet domain linked to the software, which cost approximately 25 euros, an amount that Gómez paid. The complaint also refers to an email from the university, in which an official sent Gómez information on how to register a domain. This email was interpreted as evidence that the university was aware, at least in part, of the registration process.

The second charge of professional intrusion states that Begoña Gómez participated in the preparation of technical documents to contract technological consulting services for a chair she co-directed. The complaint states that Gómez lacks the professional requirements necessary for that role.

Judge Juan Carlos Peinado rejected other crimes presented in the complaint by Hazte Oír, including disloyal administration and embezzlement of funds . This indicates that the magistrate has chosen to focus only on the charges that he considers sufficiently founded.
