RTBF (Belgian public television) announced that Santiago, the premature baby, had been found alive. He was in Amsterdam (Netherlands) with his parents. They are now in the hands of the Dutch police. The father and mother had abducted their child on Monday evening in France at the maternity ward in Aulnay-sous-Bois (Paris region). Their car was then found in Belgium on Wednesday. The Belgian police had also found diapers in a hotel in the Mons region. Since then, an international search warrant had been issued.
On the run
After passing through Belgium, there was a strong suspicion that they had left for another country, perhaps Serbia. They were finally all found in the Netherlands. The mobilization was strong, because the child needs medical monitoring due to his premature birth. It seems that the parents had decided to take him from the hospital after realizing that they were under threat of losing custody.
