Kingsley Coman is reportedly ready to trade Bayern Munich for a Premier League side amid a disappointing campaign in Germany.
Since joining Bayern, Coman has been an integral part of the club’s success, contributing to their numerous titles, including the Champions League triumph in 2020. Despite having a contract with Bayern until 2027, his future at the club is uncertain as he contemplates a potential departure and is ready to ply his trade in a new league, most preferably in England or Spain, after conquering Germany, France with PSG, and Italy during his time at Juventus, according to reports from Sport Bild.
Coman’s playing time has been limited this season, with injuries hampering his performances, especially since the turn of the year. He has managed a paltry five goals and three assists in 26 appearances across competitions which highlights his dwindling impact on the pitch.
However, any club interested in signing Coman would need to meet Bayern Munich’s hefty asking price of €70 million (£60m/$75m). Nonetheless, his ability to operate effectively on both wings adds to his value as a player, making him a desirable asset for any club looking to bolster their attack.
Coman was introduced as a substitute by Thomas Tuchel during Bayern’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal in midweek. However, he might be awarded a starting role at the weekend when the Bavarians face Koln in the Bundesliga as the manager is likely to rotate his squad ahead of a decisive quarter-final second leg in the Champions League against the Gunners next Wednesday.
