Lagos Police Hunt For Father Accused Of Physically Assaulting, Abusing His Two Children

The police report released on Sunday stated that Yusuf physically assaulted and inflicted bodily injuries on his 11-year-old daughter who is in a primary school in the Orile Agege area of the state and her 13-year-old brother.

The Elere Police Division of the Lagos State Police Command says it has launched a manhunt for a man identified as Kadiri Yusuf, alias Alado, for physically assaulting and abusing his two children.

 

 

According to the police report, the head teacher of the primary where the suspect’s daughter attends, on Friday at about 5pm, reported at the Elere Police Division that at 7am on the same day, the 11-year-old girl who is one of her pupils reported to her that her father beat her and injured her.

 

The head teacher reported that the girl also said that her father, Yusuf also beat and injured her 13-year-old elder brother.

The police said that following the report, the children were retrieved, treated and handed over to their mother’s sister for safe custody while effort is ongoing to arrest the suspect, Yusuf who is on the run.

 

The report said, “On 18/0/10/2024 at about 1700hrs, the head teacher of a primary school in Orile Agege Lagos, reported at Elere Division that on same date at 0700hrs, one of her pupils, a female aged 11, reported to her that her father, one Kadiri Yusuf, alias Alado, beats her, causing her bodily injury, that he equally beats and injured her elder brother aged 13.

 

“Both victims have been retrieved, treated and handed over to their mother’s sister for safe custody while the effort to apprehend the fleeing father is in top gear. investigation in progress.”
