Landes cow scandal on French TV?
FAST DOWNLOAD
No cows: no participation. That’s why two municipalities are refusing to take part in the summer TV show: ‘Intervilles’ (Inter-cities).
The cow was part of the walls, or rather the arena, in the tournament events of the summer TV show Intervilles, regularly broadcast on French TV. However, cattle were not invited to the new edition scheduled for 2025. As a result, two towns in the south-west of France are refusing to take part in the show next summer. Dax and Mont-de-Marsan believe that this tradition shouldn’t disappear in the name of animal welfare. According to the mayors of these towns, the cows used are trained for the Landes races, a traditional tournament in these regions.
Not stressed
For the Landais, “the cows are not stressed, they’re concentrated”. There’s no killing or beating of the animals. Even if some candidates may clutch on to their horns. This withdrawal, and the reasons given for it, could encourage the towns to carry out bullfighting folklore in the south of the country. A cow-gate capable of disrupting the return of ‘Intervilles’ with Nagui and Bruno Guillon at the helm?
