The search for the leaked photos documenting the brutal attack on Melanie , a 20-year-old woman, has gained momentum on social media. The student at the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas was attacked by her partner , Christian Rojas, during a Halloween party on October 31 in Tamaulipas.

Christian was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when, in a violent moment, he punched Melanie in the face, causing her to fall to the ground. Despite the efforts of a friend to intervene and stop the attack, the assault continued, leaving Melanie seriously injured and vulnerable.

The consequences of this violent outcome are heartbreaking. Melanie has fractures to her jaw, nose and hands , as well as significant damage to her left eye, which puts her vision at risk. She is currently hospitalized at the IMSS Regional General Hospital No. 6, where she requires surgery and urgent medical treatment.

The images that have been circulating on social media show the critical condition in which Melanie was left after the attack. In the photos, her eye can be seen highly swollen, covered in blood and unable to be opened.

Some of these images appear to have been taken at the clinic where she is hospitalised. In another photograph, she is seen lying on a stretcher, her face covered in blood and with obvious bruises on her nose and mouth.

Following the incident, Melanie’s family and friends have appealed for support to cover medical expenses, while the community is calling for justice on her behalf. A video of the attack has begun circulating online, sparking further outrage and a call to action to address gender-based violence in the region.

The Prosecutor’s Office issues a statement on the assault on Melany

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Tamaulipas has issued a statement regarding the assault suffered by Melany de Jesús ‘N’ on October 31 in the Revolución Verde neighborhood, located in the municipality of Ciudad Madero.

Since the incident became known, an investigation file was opened. Elements of the Investigative Police carried out the first proceedings, while the expert staff made the corresponding reports.

As part of the investigation, witnesses have been interviewed and video surveillance cameras have been located in the vicinity of the place where the events occurred. In addition, protective measures have been implemented for the victim, following established protocols.

Investigative agents are dedicated to the search and location of Melany’s aggressor, and have requested the collaboration of various state, federal and immigration authorities to achieve this objective.

The Prosecutor’s Office has also appealed to the public, offering a reward of 200,000 pesos for information leading to the capture of the attacker.

“A reward of up to 200,000.00 mn is offered to those who provide useful, truthful and timely information that facilitates the search and location of Christian de Jesús Rojas Martínez ,” is detailed in an information sheet published by the authorities.
