Lil Uzi Vert appears to have responded to recent commends made by Ebro Darden by teasing a track aimed at the radio personality on their upcoming album Eternal Atake 2.

In a since-deleted post on their Instagram Stories, the Philadelphia rapper shared a photo of a handwritten tracklist that was concealed by a watch and two Roc-A-Fella chains, with the exception of a track titled “Chill Ebro.”

The post comes shortly after the Hot 97 host criticized Uzi’s career trajectory, claiming they have yet to fulfill their promise of becoming a “rockstar” that they made almost a decade ago.

Speaking at a recent panel, Ebro said: “I love Uzi Vert. I feel like he still hasn’t become the rockstar he said he would become, though. I’m still waiting.

“Maybe I took it literal, but the rockstars that I know, they were selling out MetLife Stadium. They could sell out Madison Square Garden eight, 10 times. They got hits on the radio, everywhere. Songs is everywhere.”

Ebro then referenced his viral 2016 interview with the “XO TOUR Llif3” hitmaker where they refused to rap over “old Hip Hop beats” which they felt were unbefitting for a “rockstar.”

“He told me he was gonna become a rockstar,” Darden continued. “Most people that come up to me and talk about Uzi Vert were probably like 10 years old [when that interview came out]. They was tight, they was mad that I did that to Uzi Vert. [But] like I said before, time will tell.”

Ebro then challenged Uzi to prove him wrong: “Where you at, my guy? Where you at, bro? Didn’t he just retire, too? Wasn’t he just like, ‘Yo, I’m tired, I’m done.’ Come on, son. You supposed to be a rockstar. What happened?”

While it’s unclear if Eternal Atake 2 actually contains a song called “Chill Ebro,” Lil Uzi Vert has been ramping up excitement for their new album in recent days.

The 29-year-old kickstarted the rollout last week by sharing the cover art and trailer for Eternal Atake 2, both of which are heavily rooted in sci-fi.

The cinematic trailer opens with a shot of Earth and explains: “On March 6, 2020, Lil Uzi Vert mysteriously vanished. While it was never confirmed what happened that day, the faithful believed it to be the fulfillment of a long awaited prophecy.”

The video then cuts to a UFO that teleports through an Eternal Atake 2 logo and lands on a futuristic space station, where Uzi has their memory wiped by purple-eyed aliens.

The album is set to be released this Friday (November 1), according to its pre-release listing on Apple Music.
