Lizzo has embraced a joke from the television show South Park about her dramatic weight loss for her 2024 Halloween costume.
The “Juice” singer took to Instagram on Saturday (October 26) to reveal her hilarious costume across a number of posts that played off of a joke from a May South Park episode titled, “The End of Obesity.”
In one video, Lizzo revealed that she dressed up as the Ozempic alternative named after her in the show’s special. The rapper also had a measuring tape wrapped around her waist like a belt. She danced along to Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” alongside someone dressed as Cartman from the show.
In another carousel of photos on Instagram, the “About Damn Time” rapper called it “LizzOzempic.”
Back in May, Lizzo responded to “The End of Obesity,” which touted an Ozempic-like weight loss drug named after her.
In the special, Stan’s mom explained to Kyle’s mom that she went to the doctor to try to lose weight, but was told that she couldn’t be prescribed a GLP-1 medicine because she didn’t have diabetes.
The scene then cut to Stan’s mom appearing in an Ozempic-like commercial, where she ends it with “ask me about the art of not giving a fuck!”
Taking to her TikTok, the “Good As Hell” singer tried to make light of the satire cartoon’s salvos. Initially, she said, she was going into it “blind,” but was amazed at how well they actually handled the matter.
“That’s crazy. I just feel like, damn, I’m really that bitch,” she said. “I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a fuck to the point where these men in Colorado know who the fuck I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years.”
In April, Lizzo shared tips for living your best life during the summer.
“Block your ex,” she said while throwing her phone in the pool.
While lifting up a bottle of wine, she offered tip number two and said: “Remember to hydrate excessively.”
And for the third bit, she concluded: “Remember, you can never be too extra!”
The 35-year-old topped it off with a caption plugging her shapewear line, Yitty, and wrote: “Cus EVERY DAMN BODY is a Summer Body in @yitty.”
