Three alleged members of the criminal gang “Los Frank” were arrested in the last few hours in raids carried out by the National Police in the Los Llanos neighborhood, in Catacamas, Olancho.
The detainees are two women aged 36 and 40, as well as a 40-year-old man, all originally from Catacamas.
According to investigations, the alleged members of the criminal gang are involved in drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms.
The operation involved officers from the Police Investigations Directorate (DPI), in collaboration with the National Directorate of Prevention and Community Security (DNPSC) and the National Directorate of Special Forces (DNFE).
During the arrest, police seized 107 clear plastic tips containing a white powder, presumably cocaine.
In addition, 10 transparent bags weighing approximately one ounce each, also containing white powder that could be cocaine; a Taurus brand pistol-type firearm, with a metal magazine and 9 unfired cartridges; and 1,500 lempiras in cash.
