A father has decided to cancel his daughter’s 15th birthday party after discovering that she is having a romantic relationship with her “husband-boyfriend.”
The conflict arose when @albertomt discovered that his daughter not only had a boyfriend, but also had a contraceptive to prevent pregnancy.
In the video, the father is seen arguing with his wife, who tries to make him reconsider the decision, highlighting the more than 5 thousand dollars (almost 125 thousand lempiras) already invested in the organization of the event.
According to the father, the celebration of the 15th birthday symbolizes the transition from girl to woman and should be a pure celebration, not corresponding to someone ” who acts like an adult and makes adult decisions.”
“I’m going to make fun of it because everyone knows she has a husband, he’s her boyfriend (…) that celebration is for those who arrive virgins to marriage, when you’re already a woman. Why?” he said, visibly upset.
She also revealed that her daughter had run away from home on several occasions to meet her boyfriend and that her school grades had declined significantly.
Finally, the mother agrees with her husband’s arguments and admits that her daughter might not deserve such an important celebration.
