A man identified as Edwin Velasco was arrested this weekend after being caught raping his 7-year-old granddaughter in the Coyoacán municipality of Mexico City.

The incident was reported by journalist Carlos Jiménez, through his account on the X platform, where he indicates that everything happened at the minor’s house.

The girl’s mother, daughter of the detainee, was the one who discovered it, so she immediately notified the authorities of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City (SSC CDMX).
