    THE BIGGER PICTURE

City are in search of a quality midfield option and are expected to dip back into the transfer market in the January window after Rodri sustained an ACL injury during a Premier League clash against Arsenal, which ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

    WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

Speaking to GOAL and SPOX, Palkin said: “Manchester City is interested in him, and other clubs from England are also watching him. I’m sure several clubs will make offers for him during the transfer window.”

He also revealed that Shakhtar were very close to selling Sudakov in the summer, however, a deal never materialised. “Six months ago we negotiated a transfer with SSC Napoli, but that didn’t work out,” Palkin added.
