Ten Hag has endured a poor start to the season with Manchester United, putting his job at risk once again. Reports from The Telegraph suggest the Dutchman has the upcoming two matches against Porto and Aston Villa to prove he is the right man for the job. The report goes on to reveal that Ten Hag has the support of senior players in the dressing room, who believe they can turn their poor form around.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Even if Ten Hag does turn things around and pick up six points in the next few days, there is still a big issue at Manchester United. The Red Devils look lost on the pitch and they had no answer to Tottenham on Sunday – a team they are supposed to be battling with for the Champions League spots. Ten Hag has had a lot of time to put his stamp on the team, but not much seems to have improved on the pitch.

DID YOU KNOW?
Ten Hag and Manchester United have replicated the start David Moyes had in his first season after replacing Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013-14. The Red Devils have won two, drawn one and lost three of their opening six matches.

To make Ten Hag’s job even harder, both of Manchester United’s ties this week are away. They travel to Porto on Thursday in the Europa League and then head to Villa Park on Sunday.
